What is Wind power?

Wind power is the generation of electricity from wind energy. In olden days, windmills are used to harness the wind energy consequently converting it into mechanical energy. Wind energy is converted to the mechanical energy to run machines and pump. However, if the mechanical energy is used to produce electricity then they called wind generators.

The wind power is a clean and cheap alternative for the fossil fuel. Wind farming is a way to generate electricity in most country in Europe. In a wind farm, group of wind generators are constructed in the same place where strong wind occurs. Wind farms are even located offshore, taking advantage of the high velocity of wind. Wind power could be the solution you are looking for to reduce emission of CO2.
